Habitat Coffee (1)

So, a short intro to myself. I live along Thomson Road and when I think of food, the first place that comes to my mind would be the shop houses along Upp Thomson Road. Everyone should go explore that area one day! Lots of good hidden cafes waiting to be discovered.

Anyway, the first cafe I hopped to was Habitat Coffee along Upp Thomson Road. It is situated near the  bus stop before Thomson Plaza.

3 weeks back, I extracted 4 molars before I put on braces. I was having hell lotta pain but I simply couldn't resist visiting this cafe I heard about. So, instead of ordering solid food, I went for the Habitat Cheese cake. It tastes like normal cheese cakes you find in the market but this is soft and I had minimal pain while eating this. I ordered Peach tea along with the cake, it wasn't too sweet and and has a cooling effect on my swollen gums.

I personally think that Habitat Coffee deserves a second visit since my friends are raving about how wonderful the food is. Well, this time, with my healed gums and teeth, I knew I've got to order the Truffle Fries. It is awesome. The fries were served hot, fresh from the kitchen. The spices were done pretty well. Wonderful combination. No problem eating it at all.

My Mum ordered the Chicken Bolognese Pasta. This tastes wonderful too. Although my mum found it a tad sour, it actually suited me quite well instead. However, the serving is rather small, so I would recommend you to order another side dish to fill your tummy, especially if you have a big one like mine :) Pasta is easy to chew so no worries :)

This is called the Big Ben. It's basically the big breakfast served with cheesy chicken sausage, harsh browns, scrambled egg, pancakes, honey ham, salad and roasted tomatoes. This is really yummy, the scrambled egg, ham and pancake go really well together. Though I'm not too sure what's the yellow sauce is, it tasted something like cheese and compliments the dish well.

I will definitely patronise this cafe once again because they serve really good comfort food and the ambiance (during non peak periods) as well as the furniture are fantastic too. It'll be less crowded around mid afternoon, this is important info especially for those people who takes a looooong time to eat due to braces. Anyway, I'll come back again to try their pancakes, sandwiches and eggs benedict!
