Situated at Dempsy Hill is the Thai Restaurant, Tawandang Microbrewery. This restaurant is famous for its savory beer. I have been to this place many times for its superb beer.
Beer selection. If I'm not mistaken, they have 1-for-1 deals during their happy hours (after 1pm).
They also have a wide array of Thai delicacies to choose from. These food taste really good with the beer.
I ordered the Weizen beer. It's my favorite because it has a really light taste and thus, it doesn't cover the taste of the other yummy food i ordered.
This is something like sambal Kang Kong, really really yummy. But i accidentally chewed on the deep friend prawns which was very painful. So braces people, be careful!
Morning glory. Very flavorful. Smells great. But it may get kinda hard to chew and gets stuck very easily in between the braces.
Tom Yam Soup with Seafood. Hot and spicy, just the the way i like it to be :D Seafood was fresh, you can practically smell the sweetness of the prawns in the soup. I love mixing this with rice haha!
These tiny prawns go very very very well with beer. One sip of beer, one bite of the prawns.. yum!
My dad loves ordering this green curry cos it taste very well when mixed with white rice. I'm not a big fan of curry but this is very delicious. It's not very spicy too.
Anyway, do come and drop by for a visit soon! Be it a Thai meal or just a drink to catch up with your friends, this place is a must-try! It also has great ambiance to chill and relax. They have live band performances during the weekends and beer offers during wednesday nights. The service crew is friendly as well. It may get quite crowded during dinner time so do remember to call and reserve a seat.
