Firstly, my wax. There are originally five sticks of wax but due to my low pain tolerance, I've already used up almost four sticks! The wax prevents my braces from poking my mouth. The brackets scratches my inner cheeks from time to time, so I depend heavily on the wax, especially when I eat! Don't worry, wax is edible.
This is the special brush. I was told to use this to take out all the little bits of food that gets stuck between my braces. Sometimes, I feel really lazy and I'll just skip this. But, that's not good, please don't follow me. Another tip: brush your teeth when you bath, that's because the water stream is stronger, so food stuck between your braces comes out more easily.
THIS. Is my good friend. Perhaps, my inner cheeks are rather delicate, I always have ulcers when the braces start poking or scratching my mouth. Ulcers are an extreme put off for me when I eat :( Whenever I have an ulcer, I'll apply Bonjela to reduce the swell. It has a very pleasant cooling effect. And my ulcers take around 5 days to heal.
This is used to reduce cold sore. Maybe it's only me? After my tooth extraction, I developed a cold sore at the corner of my mouth. It is very ugly and itchy. This lotion helps reduce the swelling very quickly. I develop cold sores quite often, so this lotion is very useful to me.
Yeap, that's about it! Maintaining your teeth is extremely important, especially when you are putting on braces. Always rinse your mouth after you eat, you wouldn't want people staring at the bits of food stuck between your braces when you open your mouth! Also, try not to eat crispy, hard or sticky food. They may damage the braces. I once ate crispy chicken and my wire came off. It started poking my cheek and I had visit my dentist to fix it. If you really wanna eat crispy or hard food, do cut them into small pieces so it's easier for you to chew :)
